Well-Made Mortiser Does an Adequate Job

According to Fine Woodworking, this mortiser's hold-down system works well and table moved smoothly. Its motor operates at 1,720 rpm, which is in the middle range of motor speeds. The magazine preferred a slower motor speed, however, for less friction and jamming. Also, to run this mortiser, you need a 240-volt circuit.
