High Resistance to Rust, Many Quality Features

The reviewer discussed in depth the anti-rust benefit of titanian over cast iron in tabletops. In damp climates a cast iron tabletop on any tool (planer, saw, etc.) will require regular waxing, whereas it is difficult to get this titanium tabletop to rust, and even when it does, the rust can be wiped away with a clean cloth. This tablesaw is also excellent in other ways, such as being available in a left-tilting model (35640) and right-tilting model (35630), having large and heavy trunnions, and having large handwheels that are easy to turn and are accurate. There is also a Biesemeyer-style rip fence and rails that are durable and easy to adjust. A small downside is that the red-painted throat plate that comes with this model is sticky, although Steel City claims their future throat plates will be powder-coated to help overcome this friction problem. The throat plate can be replaced with another type, in any case.
