Good for Driving Screws Into Pilot Holes, Poor for Drilling

The reviewer referred to this Skil model as "iXO" but this 3.6-volt palm driver identically matches Skil model 2336-01. This tiny driver is of course inappropriate for work that requires much more torque or speed, but its size and convenience makes it ideal for small, quick jobs. This tool can drive almost any size of screw into predrilled pilot holes in hardwoods, and can drive 41 screws into a 2x4 (although not fully seating all of them). The single speed (200-rpm) motor is not made for drilling, so after drilling a hole into red oak it may not be possible to pull the bit back out of the wood without the bit slipping out of the tool. The tool comes with 32 driver bits, a 1/6" drill bit, and a 1 1/2" extension. It takes three hours to recharge the battery.
