Good Performer Despite Fence Problems

The reviewer mentioned many issues with the fence, but said overall this saw scored high on the important points. The fence is unique and glides easily, locks, and does not deflect much under pressure. However, the fence cannot be lifted off the saw, but can only be rolled off the end of its rails. Some other high points are that the miter-gauge guide bar fits the saw without peening, the fence scale is accurate across the entire bevel range, the power cord is long (11'9"), and the owner's manual is clear. Some low points are that the handwheel blocks the bevel scale, and the rear fence mount bumps into the guard-mounting bracket, which prevents rips narrower than 1 1/2 inches. There are two cast-iron wings that are included, although a wooden extension table replaces the right wing. Extra table legs also come with the saw.
