 VERY Nice Compressor. I Made the Right Choice. (2008-01-28)
I needed a portable compressor to run my nailers. I have a 30 gal compressor that is just too cumbersome to move and travel with. I do remodelling for my own homes in two states. So I expect this unit to last a VERY long time as it will not be used for daily use. For that, obviously, you'd want an oiled unit.
This compressor is exactly as described. It's VERY quiet, fills quickly and is easy to carry. When I say it's quiet, I mean, it's quiet. I had it running in my very small kitchen and for the short time that it was filling, I had no problem conversing with the girlfriend. I have kids that are always complaining about my loud tools. There were no complaints as I nailed away, during their favorite cartoons. They complain when my big compressor is running inside the detached garage! This one was only in the next room.
Also, only using 8 amps, it ran flawlessely from an old kitchen outlet that frequently trips the 15 amp breaker when trying to prepare a meal. That was the true test in my opinion. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Also, shop around. I found this unit new, for $187 shipped, and that wasn't a sale price, nor was it a reconditioned unit.
