Consumer Reports testers ranked this as the 6th best battery-powered circular saw, with an evaluation score that puts it in the "good" range. The ease of use is very good, the cutting speed and construction are good, the battery endurance is fair, but the power is poor. The maximum cutting depth is 1 9/16 inches. Such battery-powered saws are quite convenient but lack the capability of corded saws.
