The reviewer gave top scores to most of this drill's capabilities, but also mentioned a few negative features. The tool is 42 inches tall and had the largest vertical capacity of any of the benchtop drill presses tested. However, a step-stool is required to change speeds. The speed range is good: 220 rpm through 3,600 rpm. The table center hole is unusually large (1 1/8 inches) and the inserts are replaceable. One drawback is that the handles are too short and the motor tensioning lever protrudes inconveniently, especially when lowering the quill.
