The Ridgid R4330 planer was easy to set up, has a great dust collection system and no noticable snipe on my board. It is a solid tool in my shop. I use it in conjuction with my HTC Port O Mate stand using the extended roller guides. I would recomend this tool for the hobbiest.

THERE IS NO GETTING AROUND THE .004 IN SNIPE 2" OFF EITHER END. RIDGID CLAIMS THE HEAD LOCK IS NOT NECESSARY DUE TO THE 4 SCREAW POSTS, THESE
POSTS DO INDEED HAVE NOTICABLE FREE PLAY. AS I CAN NOT AFFORD TO THROW AWAY 4" OF STOCK PER BOARD TOMORROW I SHALL SEE IF HD WILL REFUND MY MONEY AND I WILL TRY AND MAKE A BETTER CHOICE OF PLANER.
