The reviewer particularly liked the two white LEDs that illuminate the bit area. The clear subbase also aids viewing of the work area. The variable-speed control shows the speed in rpm so that is more accurate than the generic letters or numbers that are common on other routers. Although the router has through-the-base adjustment of bit height, it may not be possible to raise the router high enough above the table to change bits without first pushing the collet-locking button under the table. The plunge action is rather stiff, and switching of bases can be awkward due to the collet lock. The dust collection hoods are effective, especially on captured cuts, less so when routing edges.
