The reviewer emphasized the left-handed feature of this drill press: that within 20 minutes the main (quill-feed) operating handle can be switched to the opposite side of the machine, which is important for left-handed users. There are many other positives about this tool: parts trays conveniently mount on the column that holds the press, the chuck key has a special storage place next to the head, the poly-vee belt drive does not slip, and there is a selection of 12 speeds ranging from 250 rpm to 3,100 rpm. Also, although often dial-style depth stops are less desirable to threaded-rod depth stops, in this case the dial-style is very reliable and slips only about .008" after drilling 100 holes.
