Like the General 75-075, this mortiser features an adjustable lever handle, a smooth gas-strut counterbalance, table lock, and workpiece stops. According to Fine Woodworking, it was overall more enjoyable to use, with easy bit changes and smooth operation. It also has the longest front-to-back table travel and the longest vertical travel of the seven similar mortisers tested by FWW.
