(The order code for this model is TEMP142CX.) The reviewer said that the price of this unit was reduced just before publication of the review, and this model now has a fiber clean-out drum instead of a steel filter clean-out drum. This unit had the highest airflow at static pressure (SP) levels greater than 8 inches of any unit in the test. Some pluses are that the cartridge filler mounts on the ceiling, which saves floor space, this unit had the highest filter surface area of any unit tested, which reduces cleaning frequency, the power cord and wall-mounting brackets are included, and this unit can be shipped by UPS. Some low points are that the clean-out drum is not removable so must be vacuumed clean, and the dense pleats in the filter are tedious to clean. Many options are available on this unit. There exists a similar model, TEMP143CC, that has a 3-hp motor instead of a 2-hp motor, which should allow the motor to last longer, even though that model's air flow performance is identical to the performance of this model.
