If you have a stack of 2x4's to cut of something really thick and hard to rip, get your worm-drive saw out and plug it in. For virtually everything else, this is the tool to use. You don't need tons of power to cut plywood sheets or to saw through a few pieces of dimensional lumber. Put a sharp blade on your Milwaukee cordless and let it rip.<br/>

I've never been a big fan of the get-everything-in-one-box kits. I don't need the flashlight or cordless reciprocal saw (although friends swear by them. They do have some smaller kits now that have just the circular saw and drill and that might be the ticket for some folks. For me, I had the drill and batteries already so I got the saw without batteries. It's worked great.
