Consumer Reports testers ranked this as the overall best battery-powered circular saw, with an evaluation score that puts it in the "very good" range. The construction and battery endurance are excellent, the cutting speed and ease of use are very good, but the power is only fair. The maximum cutting depth is 2 1/8 inches. Such battery-powered saws are quite convenient but lack the capability of corded saws.
