Consumer Reports testers ranked this as the 8th best cordless impact driver, with an evaluation score that puts it in the "very good" range. The power, charge time, and handling are excellent, the speed and run time are very good, but the noise level (at the user's ear) is poor. The tool weight is 2.9 pounds, the battery pack has 18 volts, the battery type is Li-Ion, the battery recharge time is 15 minutes, and there is one speed range.

I'm carpenter and I have a drill attached to me at least 7 hours a day. Lately drills have been dying on me,like 2 or 3 sets in one week plus I've been getting a lot of elbow pain
surely related to the heavy 18 volt drills,so I thought I would try the Makita 2 drill set and I was blown away at how light and powerful these are! Wow is all I can say I'm going today to buy another set.I guess the only question is the bat. life,does anyone out there
have one for long time? Do the batts. last for at least a year?
