The reviewer said the plunge action is smooth on this router and the light spring tension is close to ideal. This was the only router tested that has a brake for slowing the bit while the tool is powering down. One low point is that guide bushings are not included, and an adapter for Porter-Cable style bushings is unobtainable. Another low point is that the depth-of-cut scale on the router body is difficult to read, and cannot be zeroed. Also, when the router is used in a table the spindle lock is on the back side of the router. Although no dust collection is provided, a $23 optional shroud will suffice. There is no coarse depth adjustment mechanism under the table, but the large fine-adjustment knob makes coarse adjustments much easier than if the handle were smaller.
