FWW's Best Overall 18" Bandsaw

Fine Woodworking chose this bandsaw as their favorite overall along with the Bridgewood PBS 440. They liked its unique guide block system with two ceramic blocks per side because ceramic doesn't wear as quickly as steel and because it provided especially good support to the blade and was easy to setup. It has a 5-hp motor, is the biggest machine in the group of eleven tested, has the highest resaw capacity by far and the second-best resaw speed. It cuts well and has a great rip fence which can be set either high or low, giving the machine better support and a safer cut. It has a stiff, sturdy table which is easy to lock and a relatively strong frame.
