The reviewer said this saw model showed a good deal of scoring by the blade, which was possibly the more significant weakness of this model. Some of the high points are well-made miter slots, smooth-turning handwheels, a fence scale that is accurate across the entire bevel range, and a magnifier on the fence for easier reading of the fence scale. Some low points in addition to the bad scoring are that the fence deflects under 20 pounds of pressure, and the fence may need shimming to make it flat. A T-square style fence can be purchased for this unit for an extra $100.
