According to Fine Woodworking, the Jet weighs a light 59 pounds. This six-speed lathe tends to be on the pricier end of its category around $350. It has a handwheel at the outboard end of the spindle, making it easier to check tool-rest clearance. Its bed extension gives it 40 inches between centers, one of the longest in its category.
