The reviewer said this was the fastest saw in the test: this saw was able to complete a 24" full-kerf rip in maple about twice as fast as the slowest saws tested. Another high point is that the fence is easy to read due to large, clear markings and a magnified cursor. One low point is that the miter bar fits only loosely in the miter slot, so the bar had to be peened to make it fit well, due to the absence of any adjustment mechanism in the bar. Some other attributes of this saw to note are that the blade can be titled to the right, and there are stamped-steel extension wings (only two saws in the test had these extension wings). This same saw with cast-iron wings is called the model JWTS-10CW2-JF, and costs about $100 more.

Nice Saw at a Very Fair Price (2007-07-22)

The professional review we read of this saw confirm what most of the user reviews are saying. This is a very clean saw at a good price. Raising and lowering the blade is smooth. The motor runs quietly and cuts as well or better than the other saws they tested. The fence system works well and can cut on either side of the blade. The only real complaint we've seen is the blade is somewhat hard to change.
