The Hawk G4 makes scrollsawyering a pleasure and not a chore. From the simple and quick blade tensioning to the powerful and unobtrusive bellows, every detail that concerns scrollers has been engineered-in.

The wide platform, and the 26" throat makes it capable of scrolling small and very large pieces. It's not a cast platform, so clean-up is a breeze, and rust? Never happen!

The motor is very quiet, and the machine is nearly vibration free. You really can stand a nickel on its edge while the saw is running.

I also have the DeWalt, about 1/2 the cost. It's a good saw and is still used - by my wife. But when it comes to changing blades, setting a corect tension based on the blade size, or sawing thick pieces, it's the Hawk she prefers.

It's why I say the Hawk is so good. A wonderful woman who knows nothing of the mechanics prefers the one that is easier to use and provides superior results.

As I cay, the Hawk costs more, but it is truly worth the extra money. You really do get what you pay for.
