Sturdy Machine Stands Out

Although not their number one pick, FWW said that the 2-hp Grizzly G0506 bandsaw stood out from a group of eleven 18" bandsaws. Like the General 90-270, this machine cuts well, performing well in the resaw and curve-cutting tests. It also has a very solid frame, with little deflection, and a stiff, sturdy table. It has a cast-iron trunnion support and trunnions. Unfortunately its fence is not adjustable for drift or squareness to the table and the machine's fussy wheel guide made blade changing difficult.
