WHAT'S THIS?

Solid Product Once Everything Is Aligned (2007-02-07)

I've had my 15" Grizzly Planer for a few years now and it's gotten a lot of use. It's a serious tool that can handle a substantial workload.

Although slightly older, my planer looks almost identical to the G0453. My only complaint is that my model has rollers (instead of the extension tables shown on the current model) that are hard to align properly. If the in and outfeed roller on my older model are not aligned properly, you get snipe. I had some problems early on that Grizzly's support (always very responsive) were able to help me resolve.

It looks like they've improved the infeed and outfeed on the G0453 and made the hand wheels bigger. All good improvements. It's possible that it deserves more than 4 stars, but until they send me an updated version for testing, that's all I can give them.

For the money, it's a great tool.
