According to FWW, this cabinet saw has very good blade/miter slot parallelism and acceptable arbor-flange runout and fence deflection. Its switch is inconvenient in that it is easy to shut it off accidentally. There is extra storage for accessories in the saw cabinet.

Well Built Cabinet Saw - Check This Saw Out. (2009-03-30)
I purchased a General International 50-260 M1 saw with 52 inch extention table and fence. Also I bought the mobile base for this saw. The fit and finish of this saw was excellent. The saw went together easily. This saw replaced my Delta Contractor's saw and boy what a difference. When turning on this saw it is at full power right now. Runs very smooth and quiet, easily passes the nickel test. The blade that came with the saw does a nice job. This cabinet saw has very good blade/miter slot parallelism as the FWW magazine reported. Table was flat and the fence was aligned perfectly with the blade. The blade was right on at the factory set 90/45 degree settings. The on/off switch does not appear to be a problem and the fact that once turned off you have to turn the stop button clockwise before you can start the saw again, nice feature in my opinion. I believe anyone purchasing this saw would be very happy with it's performance. The only reason for the 4 star rating was the lack of a riving knife. Thanks for reading, Dick
