This lathe from General International has an advantage over others in its class, according to Fine Woodworking, as it is the heaviest, at 106 pounds. Its large rubber feet keeps this lathe in place on the benchtop. With its long bed extension, there is a noteworthy 45 inches between centers, and even without its extension, the General has 15 inches between centers.
