Great Value!
Fine Woodworking Magazine, Volume 177, 2005-05

by Toolgirl

The Dremel 1800 Scroll Station is labeled as the best consumer value by Fine Woodworking Magazine. The included attachments (small disk sander, work light, optional rotary and flex-shaft tool) are very helpful and add to the versatility of this scroll saw. Although it tends to bog down a bit, it performs efficiently and cuts very smoothly. Since the speed control knob is located in the front of the saw, it improves cutting action while the machine is running. Both plain end and pin end blades are easy to change, as is changing the speed. The accessibility of the on/off switch further adds to the comfortableness of this durable machine. If you are looking for a great price and a strong machine, this one is for you!
