Fence is fully adjustable, smooth operation, THROWS chips out the chute. Cuts a nice smooth slot, and the fence grips the wood pretty well. I don't like the fact that you have to fold the fence to put it in the case, but I usually leave my tools out till a job is completed anyway. It would be nice if I could store extra biscuits in the case, but these are all minor complaints. The tool works very smooth, and does a great job. I have had this one for several years, and shutter to think how my slots it has cut? Works great, would recommend to anyone!

Biscuit joinery seems like a no-brainer. You setup the tool to the right depth, dial in the right size biscuit, make a few marks and let it fly. However, over the four years that I've had my DeWalt, I've had a number of unhappily misaligned joints.

I will not rule out the possibility that it's me, but I'm more inclined to blame the somewhat flimsy fence on the DW682K. I have to be very careful to ensure that I carefully set it in place or I find that things don't line up at assembly time.

For the price, it's not a bad tool, but I wish I'd spend more money and gotten a better one. Biscuit joints are supposed to be quick and easy, but I think twice before using them with the Dewalt and tend to use screws and plugs when I need a fast and strong joint.

For a tool with the lowest price, I'm totally satisfied. My younger brother stole my last one, so I needed another joiner. No need to change what works !! (More)
