Consumer Reports testers ranked this as the 2nd best battery-powered circular saw, with an evaluation score that puts it in the "very good" range. The construction is excellent, the cutting speed and ease of use are very good, the battery endurance is good, but the power is poor. The maximum cutting depth is 2 1/4 inches. Such battery-powered saws are quite convenient but lack the capability of corded saws.
