Smooth Planing, But Lacks Features

The reviewer said the high point of this planer is that it does as good a job of leaving as smooth a surface as do some other planers that are twice as expensive. On the negative side, deep snipe must be cut off, there are few features such as thickness stops or a material-removal gauge, the cutterhead doesn't automatically lock when changing knives, and the dust hood is an extra $25.
