Consumer Reports testers ranked this as the 4th best high-torque hybrid circular saw, with an evaluation score that puts it in the "good" range. The power is excellent, the construction is very good, the ease of use is good, but the cutting speed is only fair. The maximum cutting depth is 2 3/8 inches. Such heavy saws are mostly used only by professionals since they tend to be unsuitable for non-pros.
