Poor Design But Cuts Well
Fine Woodworking Magazine, Volume 170, 2004-05

by Researchgirl

Although Fine Woodworking did not like the design of this machine, they did recognize that it cut well in its resaw and curve-cutting tests. This machine has an inconvenient and fussy solid-block guide system which requires four different tools to set the guides. FWW did like the angled outside lower guide block which made the blade less likely to bow or twist. The machine has a weak frame with far too much deflection and the table tilted noticeably under 30 lbs. of weight. FWW didn't like its fence which was not adjustable for drift or squareness to the tabletop and blade-changing was a chore.
