Overpriced for the Quality
Fine Woodworking Magazine, Volume 153, 2001-01

by Researchgirl

Although FWW had no huge gripes with this machine, they are quick to point out that it is very similar to the Grizzly G1019 in every aspect except an almost $200 increase in price. It did yield a higher psi of blade tension, at 10,000 psi, than the Grizzly (7,000 psi). Although the motor bogged down when pushing too fast, the test cuts were acceptable; its resaw capacity measured 6 1/4", which is the best of the cast-iron models tested by FWW. When it comes to machine quality and efficiency, the fence can't be adjusted for drift, but its wheels aligned horizontally and vertically, it had a very flat table, and it had a useful micro-adjust system to move the sleeve.
