Inexpensive But Lacking

According to our friends at Fine Woodworking, this benchtop planer is a bit lacking in some key features. Although it is lightweight, compact, and inexpensive, it also had the most snipe of all the planers tested. In addition, it is very loud at 105 decibels, and it takes almost half an hour to change the knives.The carriage parallelism is excellent. Out of the nine planers tested by FWW, this was the only one with no dust collection hood available, included or in a separate purchase.
