The reviewer listed more high points than low points for this saw. This saw has low fence deflection since the fence locks at the front and rear. Blades can be changed with a single wrench, due to the blade-arbor lock. Other pluses are the "Gravity Rise" stand that is easy to collapse into a smaller space, which is convenient for either storage or transporting the saw, and there is on-tool storage for wrenches and blades. One negative is that the fence must be locked for rips wider than 13 inches, and the right wing also needs to be extended and a different scale needs to be read on such wide rips. Another negative is that before the throat-plate insert can be removed, the blade must first be raised to its highest position.

High Quality Tool for Contractors (2007-08-31)by Woodisgood
Bosch has designed a tool for serious contractors. While the price is high, it is worth the money if it gets the job done well and saves time.
The most recent review we can find on Portable Table Saws is in Popular Mechanics (October, 2001). They love the Bosch and the use reviews since then rave about this tool
We like this model with zero-gravity legs, but you can save money by getting the model with fixed legs.

Who Needs a Unisaw! (2008-05-05)
I bought this saw for my garage workshop due to limited space. I work in a large custom millwork shop that has all the big table saws and I can't compare their cutting power to the bosch but who cares...this saw will do whatever you ask of it at much less cost. I have upgraded the blade and built a large outfeed table which allows me to cut 4x8 sheets of plywood with no problem. Blade changes are quick and easy, dust collection is OK with a shop vac attached, and the saw is amazingly accurate for a portable. I have last years model and would love to have the newly designed blade guard that comes on the new saws. I have looked at the new blade guard system and it looks as though it may retrofit onto my older model...I'm checking with Bosch to see if this is an option. This is by far the best portable saw in its class. A-
