Consumer Reports testers ranked this as the 3rd best battery-powered circular saw, with an evaluation score that puts it in the "very good" range. The construction is excellent, the cutting speed, ease of use, and battery endurance are very good, but the power is poor. The maximum cutting depth is 2 1/8 inches. Such battery-powered saws are quite convenient but lack the capability of corded saws.
