The speed is excellent, the power is very good, the handling and low noise level (at the user's ear) are good, and the run time and charge time are fair. The tool weight is 5.5 pounds, the battery pack has 18 volts, the battery type is NiCd, the battery recharge time is 3-6 hours, and there are two speed ranges.

for the money this is a good drill. comes with a 1/2 removable chuck. this drills through plate steel easily with a dewalt bit. This drill has the torque for any homeowner and the small shops.
