Powermatic 1792000K
(Details)
Our tablesaw sits in the center of the shop for very good reason. It is the heart of the stop, cutting solid wood and sheets goods. We have a Delta Unisaw and have been very satisfied, but if we were to buy today, it would be a Powermatic. This is not the tool where you should take a risk on a lower cost model in our opinion. Save money when you buy that sanding center. If you are only happy when using the best, you'll be happy virtually all of the time using the Powermatic.
Don't overlook the Powermatic to save a few hundred dollars, but if budget is a serious issue, consider a Grizzly. It might be less finished and smooth, but it's a solid choice at a very low price.
If safety is the primary issue, take a look at SawStop's product. It is a technological marvel that assures that your great-grandchildren see you with all of your fingers. For more information about why we picked the Powermatic 1792000K for the 10" Cabinet Table Saws analysis, click here.
Grizzly Industrial G1023SL
(Details)
This saw is remarkable not so much because of bells and whistles or fit and finish, but price. To be a solid performer at such a low price is truly remarkable. You might have a few more adjustments to make out of the box, but our experience with Grizzly support has been very positive (should you need them). Get one of these if you need power and money is an issue. Click here for data on why we picked the Grizzly Industrial G1023SL for the 10" Cabinet Table Saws analysis.
